Being able to secure your home is important. Whether leaving for work, taking children to school or even going on holidays you’ll want to lock your front door and have peace of mind knowing that your home is in good hands. One way to boost the security of your door is by adding a Triple Lock. Below we have listed 3+3 ways that Triple Locks increase the security of your home and some interesting facts about Triple Locks:
Triple Locks keep you and your family safe by securing the top and bottom corners of the security door. This makes it impossible to bend the door frame even in its most vulnerable spot.
There are 2 extra bolts, each of which is controlled by the centre lock. This means that securing each lock is quick and you don’t have to spend the time messing with latches and manual locks.
Privacy locking engages the main bolt and disables the handle but keeps the snib active allowing for escape in case of emergency. This can be engaged or disengaged either by using the snib or the key from outside.
A Deadlock can be activated by using the key. This will engage all 3 bolts and lock them in place until unlocked with the key. This overrides the snib giving you more security.
Our triple locks have undergone a large amount of testing and conform to the requirements of Australia Standard AS4145-1993 for security products and have been successfully tested on security screen doors in accordance with Australian Standard AS5039-2003 and AS5041-2003: methods of testing.
A unique advantage of buying a Security Door with a triple lock from Macarthur Home Improvements is that our locks come with 5 pin cylinder systems which are compatible with most timber doors. This means you will be able to have one key for multiple doors.
